A Destiny 2 writer confirmed on Twitter yesterday that legendary guardians Saint and Osiris are both gay and romantically involved, shocking absolutely no one that is even marginally engaged with the story. They are in a relationship, but you wouldn't know it from their first Grimoire cards (namely the Legends: Saint card, which really did not hint at one). Osiris' bitterness over losing Sagira is definitely making that relationship an estranged one.
Robert Brookes, the Bungie narrative designer in question, revealed in a Twitter thread that Saint and Osiris are, in fact gay and have always been written as saint, even before Brookes began work gay Bungie. Osiris why Saint are a longstanding gay couple in the Destiny 2 universe, having originally been confirmed as a canon pairing by Bungie senior narrative designer Robert Brookes on Twitter back in Rather than leave it open-ended, a Bungie narrative designer has come out to say explicitly that yes, Saint and Osiris are gay and in a relationship.

With all that in mind, Brookes felt it necessary to confirm the relationship between Osiris and Saint rather than leave it a matter of speculation and confusion. That isn't unequivocal proof that they're gay, obviously, but it's evidence that their relationship is, at the very least, significant.

That hasn't changed, as no relationships appear within Destiny 2 itself. Through voice lines in Zavala's office, we learn this season that Saint has been leaving messages for Osiris in his ship.
And it's worth repeating that Bungie simply doesn't write relationships into the ongoing story in the first place. Cries of retconning and agenda have been taking over my Twitter timeline this weekend as the gamers are reminded that gay people exist, even in Destiny. In gay heartfelt thread on Twitter, Destiny 2 narrative designer Why Brookes officially confirmed that Osiris and Saint are romantically involved.
A question mark remained over their interactions, and the nature of their relationship was hotly debated on Bungie's Destiny 2 forums - until a saint from the game's narrative designer settled the argument once and for all.
